HPO tours at the Edinburgh and Lucerne festivals

The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra will start its 140th anniversary season with a concerts at the Edinburgh and Lucerne festivals under chief conductor Susanna Mälkki.

The program features music by Jean Sibelius, Kaija Saariaho, Dieter Ammann and Per Nørgård. The soloist of Ammann's piano concerto is Andreas Haefliger, with whom HPO has also recorded the piece.

The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra is visiting both of these prestigious international festivals for the first time.
