Joy and warmth – a thirst for knowledge and willpower – instinct and dreams.
I am from Rauma. As a town, Rauma provided great opportunities for practicing music. I still have a lot of friends from those times with whom I still get to play music.
I joined the orchestra in August 2007.
I like to play a wide range of music. At home I play a lot of Bach, for example, while at work I like to play Shostakovich, Brahms and Sibelius. I also like playing modern music, the way it’s challenging, sometimes mathematical, sometimes finding new tones.
There are lots of wonderful places in Helsinki, and I like the beautiful buildings and parks. One of my favourite places is Töölönlahti. It’s beautiful all year round, and I never get tired of walking around it.
The highlight of the spring 2016 season for me will be on 20 and 21 January when we play both Wagner and Shostakovich, two of my favourite composers.
