Timo Hietala's Baby Symphony is a musical adventure into the wonderland played by the orchestra. It is a touchingly fun composition for infants and toddlers, as well as for adults who are young at heart. Every moment in the world of children and music is full of surprises, so you do not need a manual when attending a concert – babies do not come with them either!
The concert marks 20th birthday of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra's wonderful HPO Kids project. Timo Hietala's mentor for his Baby Symphony was Satu Sopanen, who has been artistic and pedagogical planner of the project since 2002. The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra has invited all Helsinki-born babies born in 2020 to become HPO Kids. A recording from the Baby Symphony concert will be sent in September - October to those who have registered to attend performances. Further information: https://kummilapset.hel.fi/en/home
