Auditions for vacant positions in Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra

 

 

SOLOCELLIST

Monday 3rd March 2019, 2.30 pm and
Tuesday 4th March 2019,  2.30 pm

at the Helsinki Music Centre, Mannerheimintie 13 A, Helsinki


Audition repertoire:
• Haydn: Cello Concerto in D major,  1st  movement with cadenza
• 1st and 2nd  movements of the Dvořák or Schumann Concerto
• Brahms: Cello Sonata in F major, Op. 99 2nd  movement, Adagio affettuoso
• Orchestral and chamber repertoire to be announced at the latest after the deadline for applications.

An accompanist will be provided by the orchestra, but applicants are welcome to bring their own.
Salary € 3672,36- 4223,21/ month, including recording compensation (plus monthly compensation for instrument and costume maintenance)

PRINCIPAL 2nd  VIOLIN
(Temporary position, September 2019– February  2020 )

Audition repertoire:

  • Mozart: Violin Concerto Nr 3 G or Nr 4 D or Nr 5 A: 1st  movement with cadenza
  • A piece with piano accompaniment
  • Orchestral excerpts which will be published latest after application dead line

 

An accompanist will be provided by the orchestra.
Salary: € 3526,37 - 4055,32 / month

(In addition a monthly compensation for maintenance of instrument and suit)

(two vacancies)

Sturenkatu 4, 00510 Helsinki, Finland.

AUDITION REPERTOIRE

• Dittersdorf: Double Bass Concerto no 2 D major,  1st  and 2nd  movement with cadenzas (Gruber)
• 1st movement of a romantic concerto
• Orchestral excerpts which will be published latest after application deadline

Please note that the entire audition shall be performed in orchestral tuning.

The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra will provide an accompanist for the auditions, but candidates may also bring their own.

Salary: € 3234,42– € 3719,58. In addition a monthly compensation for maintenance of instrument and suit.
