Erich Korngold's Violin Concerto fills the concert hall with the romantic energy and elegance of Hollywood films from the 1930s and 1940s.

Austrian composer Erich Korngold emigrated to the United States after Hitler annexed his homeland to Germany. In America, Korngold earned a living by writing film music, for which he was awarded two Oscars, among other awards. For his Violin Concerto, Korngold borrowed material from the music he had composed for Hollywood. The soloist for Korngold's concerto is Augustin Hadelich, known for his passionate and soulful interpretations, as well as technical prowess.

The Seventh Symphony marked a breakthrough as a symphonist for the 60-year-old Anton Bruckner. The work begins with a theme for cellos and French horn, which came to Bruckner in a dream in which his conductor friend told him: “With this theme you will make your fortune.”

Season tickets are on sale from 27 October to 24 November 2026.

Single tickets for concerts go on sale on 2 December 2026.
