TangoSynthesis is a concert in which different musical styles and melodies are unashamedly combined with the rhythms of tango music. In the arrangements that are being premiered – including compositions by Unto Mononen, Avicii and Jaco Pastorius, among others – legendary operatic bass Matti Salminen, the British-Finnish Alakulo Ensemble and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra take their listeners on a surprising journey into the world of longing and love, but also humour!
Free admission. Coats and bags must be left in the cloakroom and entrance to the concert hall is in the order of the queue. No advance reservations. Cloakroom is free of charge.
Yes, but only before or after the concert. During the concert we just want you to enjoy the music. This way you won’t disturb the musicians or other audience members.
Only the orchestra has a dress code. You can dress as you like.
