Daniele Rustioni to stand in for Nathalie Stutzmann on Fri 13.12.
Conductor Nathalie Stutzmann was originally scheduled to conduct the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert on Friday 13 December. Unfortunately, Stutzmann has had to cancel her visit to Helsinki, and she will be replaced by conductor Daniele Rustioni.
Despite the change of conductor, the program remains as previously announced. The concert will feature music by Ludwig van Beethoven: the Eroica Symphony and the composer's Fourth Piano Concerto, interpreted by pianist Francesco Piemontesi.
Daniele Rustioni, who is a close collaborator with Piemontesi, is Music Director of the Lyon National Opera. In November 2024 he has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Metropolitan Opera, starting with the season 2025/26.
Rustioni last conducted the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in 2010.
