Lise Lindstrom to replace Michelle DeYoung
The soprano soloist for the opening concert of Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra’s autumn season, Michelle DeYoung, has had to cancel her appearance at Helsinki Music Centre. The role of Isolde in the orchestra’s performance of the concert version of Act 2 of Richard Wagner’s opera Tristan and Isolde will be sung instead by American soprano Lise Lindstrom. In addition to Wagner, the concert led by HPO Chief Conductor Susanna Mälkki features Metamorphosen by Richard Strauss.
The concert can be watched as an HKO Screen livestream on the orchestra’s website and mobile app, as well as on the Helsinki-kanava video channel.
