Notification of potential coronavirus exposure at Musiikkitalo

A person who was at the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert at Musiikkitalo Concert Hall on 24 November 2021 has since been found to be infected with the coronavirus(COVID-19). The exposure took place between 19:00 and 21:15.

Other individuals who were at the concert may also have been exposed to the coronavirusand are urged to monitor their condition closely for 14 days until 8 December 2021.

They must also get tested immediately if they develop any symptoms, however mild theymay be, and wait for the result at home. They should avoid close contact with elderlypeople and those at risk until they have received a negative test result and no longerexhibit symptoms.

The symptoms of a coronavirus infection include intermittently elevated body temperature,fever, coughing, headache, muscle ache, a sore throat, a runny or stuffy nose, shortnessof breath, loss of the sense of smell and taste, nausea, diarrhoea and abnormal fatigue.

Adults and young people aged 15 or over may book a COVID-19 test by completing thesymptom check-up atwww.omaolo.fi. Guardians may also use the website to book aCOVID-19 test for a dependant under the age of 15. To book an appointment, you canauthenticate your identity by using your online banking codes.

Residents of Helsinki and guardians of children residing in Helsinki can also book anappointment for a coronavirus test by calling the Coronavirus Helpline, tel. 09 310 10024(daily at 8:00–18:00). If the Coronavirus Helpline is closed and the symptoms indicative of a coronavirus infection are mild, please wait until the following day.

Residents of other Uusimaa municipalities can fill out the symptom assessment form and book an appointment online at https://koronabotti.hus.fi/en/ Residents of non-Uusimaa municipalities must contact their local health care services for testing.

The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL recommends the use of face masks for anyone aged 15 or over anytime close contact with others cannot be avoided.
