Susanna Mälkki concludes her term as Chief Conductor of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in summer 2023
Susanna Mälkki, Chief Conductor of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra will conclude her seven-year term as Chief Conductor in the summer of 2023. Her tenure, which started in 2016 and now has been extended twice, has been marked by GRAMMY-nominated, prize- winning recordings, commissions from world-class composers, and tours to some of the top concert halls of the world. From 2023 onwards Mälkki will be guest conducting HPO as the Chief Conductor Emeritus of the orchestra.
