CELLO PLAYER (TUTTI, 2 PERMANENT VACANCIES)

We have two positions open in our wonderful cello section: one vacant already, the other starting January 2027.

The auditions will be held 

• Monday 27 at 10:00 and
• Tuesday 28 April 2026 at 15:00

at Music Centre / Musiikkitalo, Mannerheimintie 13 A, 00100 Helsinki, Finland.

Audition repertoire: 

• Haydn: Cello Concerto in D major, Hob. VIIb/2: 1st movement with cadenza and 2nd movement
• 1st movement of the Dvořák op. 104 or Schumann Concerto op. 129
• Orchestral Excerpts
• Accompaniment provided, but candidate can bring own.

Requirements:

 Repertoire of the preliminary video round:

• Brahms: Symphony No. 3, III movement
• Any solo piece of your choice

Both pieces must be performed consecutively in one continuous take. You can choose yourself the order of the pieces, one or two files

Salary: 3559,24 - 4093,12 € / month (In addition a monthly compensation for maintenance of instrument and suit)
