Esittely

Chamber music concert by the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra

In this concert, the symphony orchestra’s instrumental groups get together to play in their own ensembles. Enjoy the warm glow of string instruments, perfect for a crisp autumn day, as well as the bright toned brilliance of brass instruments. Johannes Brahms composed his string sextet in the form of homely, conversational chamber music. Chris Hazel’s jazzy cat portraits were inspired by homeless cats who became acquainted with the composer. The concert ends with Bach’s calmly breathing choral overtures performed by our brass ensemble.
