Chamber music will fill Helsinki libraries this autumn as the Orchestra in your Library tour organised by Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and Helsinki City Library starts on 1 September. The tour will include performances in each of Helsinki’s 37 local libraries, as well as the mobile library.

The first concert will be held in Vallila Library on Tuesday 1 September, and the last concert will be in Lauttasaari Library on Thursday 22 October. The concerts will be held between 1 September and 22 October on each weekday at lunchtime, 12 noon, in one of Helsinki’s libraries. The lunch concerts are 30-minute chamber music performances where the musicians of Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra play as smaller chamber ensembles in the libraries.
The concerts are free for the audience, as are all Helsinki City Library events.

Yes, but only before or after the concert. During the concert we just want you to enjoy the music. This way you won’t disturb the musicians or other audience members.
Only the orchestra has a dress code. You can dress as you like.
