Personal data collected by the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra
The types of data collected from visitors to the www.helsinginkaupunginorkesteri.fi website and users of the HKO Screen app include the following: name, contact information, such as e-mail and postal addresses, and newsletter subscription details.
For musicians who have registered for an audition using the Muvac system, we also collect the following types of personal data: date of birth, phone number, and application details, such as position applied for, details about the accompanist and CV or information about studies and working experiment.
We may also collect technical data in connection with using our online services that may relate to you. The types of technical data that are collected may include the following classifications of personal data:
- Logs and timestamps for service usage
- Browser and operating system data
- Data collected by network analytics about online visits, such as time of visit, pages visited and browser data
- Device identifiers, such as a device model and a unique device and/or cookie identifier
- Data about purchases made using the HKO Screen app
Why do we collect personal data
We collect personal data for the following purposes:
1. Marketing and customer relationship management
Subscribers to our newsletter receive information about upcoming events and special offers, for example. The personal data of newsletter subscribers is administered by Gruppo Software Oy. Subscribers to our season brochure receive the brochure and other possible informative material to their home addresses once a year. The personal data of season brochure subscribers is administered by DM-Database Oy. The handling of personal data is based on customer consent. You are entitled to withdraw your marketing consent by removing yourself from the mailing list, which can be done using the link provided in the newsletter, by sending an e-mail to helsinki.philharmonic@hel.fi or by calling 09 310 22700.
2. Service improvements and data security
We also collect personal data to ensure data security, as well as to improve the quality of our online services and new features. The handling of technical personal data is based on our legitimate interest to ensure a sufficient level of data security and to obtain sufficient data for improving the service.
3. Audition notifications
Musicians can register for auditions for open positions at the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra using an online application in Muvac. To use the Muvac system, you need to provide an email address to the system. Muvac's terms of service can be found in the link here.
