HPO and Sibelius Academy enter into chamber music partnership

In autumn 2016, members of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and students of orchestral instruments at the Sibelius Academy entered into a novel chamber music partnership. The Together! pre-concert sessions held four times a year in the main Helsinki Music Centre foyer last half an hour and are free. This project, launched on the initiative of the HPO, gives music students experience “in the field” and the orchestra a feel for the rising generation of musicians. The repertoire for these concerts ties in with that to be performed later that evening.
