Second godchild project begins

2012 marked the beginning of the HPO’s second godchild project aimed at a whole age cohort.

This project is more or less similar to the one beginning in 2000: for the next seven years, all the children born in a particular year will be invited to godchild concerts held twice a year. The presenter of these project concerts is again Satu Sopanen, a professional specialising in children’s music, and Annika Kukkonen (née Koivula) is the HPO producer responsible for education.

Also helping to produce the concerts are students from the Sibelius Academy and the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, experts on early education and music & movement, composers and conductors.
